Our Art Team this season includes stylists from Fudge salons all over the UK as well as stylists from Italy, Slovenia and Holland. They were called in to action for the first time at MAN, the joint initiative between Fashion East and Topshop, with up and coming designers Alan Taylor and Craig Green. Stephen Low at Neville for Fudge led the team working on Alan Taylor creating slick looking hair inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog. The team created a Mohawk at the back of the head, keeping the hair was tight across the sides and textured across the top. Fudge Push It Up Blow Dry Spray was used on wet hair to blow dry the hair back into the mohawk. Fudge Hair Gum was used to create the slick look and hold the style in place. John Vial, Fudge Creative Director, was in charge of the team for Craig Green who’s collection was inspired by cultures of the world. John created super natural hair to compliment all of the head wear. Hair was wet down and blow dried away from the face using Fudge Liquid Erekt and then Fudge Matte Hed was used to hold the shape in place without leaving any visible residue.
It was no surprise to see key trend is slicked hair as shown in Alan Taylor, Matthew Miller and Topshop. That said we’ve seen huge diversity, everything from skin heads to waist length hair at Astrid Anderson, to painted on hair lines at Bobby Abley. John Vial commented “It’s an extraordinary time for hairdressers, never has hair been so interesting in mens shows”.
Come back tomorrow for a full round up of day 2.
